The Johnson Pump F6B-9 Flexible Impeller Pump is High Speed self priming and made of bronze for a long lasting part for any engine cooling system. The impeller pump creates a vacuum as the flexible impeller vanes straighten, leaving the cam and drawing liquid into the pump. The rotating impeller carries the liquid from the inlet to the outlet port. Due to their design, flexible pumps can pass fairly large solids. When the flexible impeller vanes regain contact with the cam, they bend the liquid is discharged in a uniform flow. By reversing the pump rotation you can move liquids in the opposite direction.
